High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Baroness Catherine Ashton will pay a regional visit to the South Caucasus on 15-17 November, and will be in Armenia on 16-17 November.

She is going to meet the President of the Republic, Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, as well as representatives of civil society.

During her meetings, HR Ashton is going to discuss the upcoming elections, EU-Armenia relations, the internal political situation and regional issues, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Turkish-Armenian relations.

No changes in visa regime between UK and Armenia expected

Changes in visa regime between UK and Armenia are not planned, UK Ambassador to Armenia Charles Lonsdale told journalists on Monday.

The Ambassador recalled that talks on relaxation of visa regime between Armenia and EU are held but it has no relation to UK. Lonsdale stressed that 10% growth of Armenian visitors annually was registered over the last four years.

“We would like more Armenians to visit UK,” he added.
